Methodology and sourcing behind the market figures shown above.

Student health and wellness services

Primary estimate based on MarketIntelo’s Student Wellness Platforms report which values the student-focused wellness/platform market at $8.2B in 2025 with a 15.3% CAGR. Broader wellness-services reports (Future Market Insights; Fortune Business Insights) show lower, more general wellness-services market sizes (~$5.15B–$7.3B in 2025 and CAGRs ~5.8%–6.5%), supporting that student-focused digital and campus-integrated services can command a larger, faster-growing niche due to telehealth, platform adoption, and institutional spending.

Student counseling and mental health services

Primary market-size estimate drawn from a market report summary projecting the global school psychological counseling services market at USD 2.5B in 2024 with a 7.5% CAGR. Growth potential is supported by empirical trends showing rapidly rising student utilization of campus mental health services (treatment rates rose from 19% to 34% between 2007–2017) and workforce shortages/access pressures (large populations in mental health professional shortage areas), which sustain demand for in-person and telehealth student counseling.

Telehealth and virtual student care

Estimated by applying a conservative sub-segment share to published global telehealth/virtual care market forecasts. Sources show global telemedicine/telehealth ranges from ~US$83.6B (2023) to US$140.1B (2026) and virtual care ~US$15.4B (2024). Assuming campus/student telehealth represents ~~1% of the broader telehealth/virtual care market (based on relative population and institutional health spending), the student-focused telehealth market is estimated at roughly US$1.2B today. Growth potential (CAGR ~12%) aligns with published virtual care/telehealth CAGRs (11–12% forecasts) while remaining conservative versus higher multi-year telemedicine projections.

Student health access and affordability

Estimation anchored to available market and cost data in the search results. A specialist report values the international student health insurance market at about $6.9B in 2025 with a 5.6% CAGR; U.S. student health plan cost inflation has averaged ~7% recently. Combining (a) per‑student institutional health fees and campus health center spending across ~19–20M enrolled students, (b) private and university-sponsored student insurance premiums (including international student insurance), and (c) Medicaid- and subsidy-related funding and navigation services, yields an estimated U.S. market for student health access and affordability of roughly $8B today. Projected CAGR (≈5.5%) reflects recent cost inflation in student plans (6–9% ranges) tempered by policy and enrollment headwinds and the international student-insurance growth benchmark (~5.6%).
