The Enlisted to Medical Degree Preparatory Program (EMDP2) is a two-year, full-time education program for enlisted members to prepare for medical school applications. The program provides premedical coursework, MCAT preparation, clinical experience, mentoring, and pre-health career advising. George Mason University serves as the civilian partner for coursework, MCAT preparation, and pre-health advising, under contract. USU coordinates the clinical component at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, and Malcolm Grow Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base. Upon completion, service members will matriculate into medical school at USU or a civilian school.
