Family Promise Salt Lake is a nonprofit, non-proselytizing organization that provides shelter, case management, and housing services to children and families experiencing homelessness. It partners with local faith communities to operate a rotating network of hosting congregations that offer emergency shelter, a Day Center with meals, showers, and access to computers, and coordinated housing solutions. The organization runs an Emergency Shelter Program, intensive case management, transitional housing, and graduate services to help families move into lasting stability. It aims to help families achieve lasting independence and self-sufficiency, with a focus on preventing homelessness and supporting children and parents on their path to housing. Since its founding in 1995, FPSL has served hundreds of families and mobilized thousands of volunteers.

Short-term congregational and emergency shelter that provide crisis stabilization, safe overnight lodging, and immediate housing placement support for families.

Time-limited transitional apartments and supports that bridge emergency shelter to permanent housing, including move-in assistance, modest resident fees, and graduate services for housing stability.
Supportive case management and housing navigation
Intensive, client-centered case management, benefits advocacy, financial assistance, housing search and navigation, and post-shelter follow-up to achieve long-term housing stability.
Day center and basic needs services
Daytime services providing hygiene (showers, laundry), meals, computer access for employment and benefits, and transportation assistance to support family wellbeing and service access.
