UCSF's Enterprise Emergency Management provides organization-wide resilience, preparedness, and emergency response capabilities. It leads the university and health system in coordinating and sustaining essential functions during disruptions, including natural disasters, cyber incidents, pandemics, and other crises. The program focuses on operational resilience, safety and protection, reliability and compliance, and partnership across campuses, hospitals, departments, and leadership. It supports risk assessments, business continuity planning, emergency action and operations planning, training, and exercises, enabling cross-department collaboration to protect people, operations, and the institution’s mission.
